I get that same error - looking for hpzimc I tried what you suggested, but the executable does not unzip the driver files, it installs some printeg and as part of that loads the drivers without telling you where the drivers are.
Turned out to be the ideal solution since she wastes too much paper printing every little thing.

So couldn't get it to work. Your plan of ripping the driver from your current machine and installing it into windows XP is flawed, and will likely just waste time you could spend finding the proper driver. I'm having the same problem Try doing the same on that XP machine. I was trying to network the HP printer to be connected to my wife's HP desktop and my Toshiba lap-top.
